Dakaari means rejoice, happiness and joy! All the things that we hope you do and feel when you adorn yourself with one of our unique and luxurious essential oil-based fragrances. With Swahili origin, the name embodies the experience we seek to create with each bottle of thoughtfully and intricately curated scents. It is our desire that each fragrance, whether it be perfume or cologne, inspires in each individual, a new level of confidence in who they are!

Commitment to Clean Beauty
As part of our commitment to promoting clean beauty, every Dakaari fragrance is hand-blended with certified organic sugarcane alcohol. This type of alcohol is distilled from cane sugar grown without pesticides, or fertilizers using a method that doesn't result in pollutants that harm the environment. Using this ingredient ensures that you need not worry about the chemicals that result from pesticides or fertilizers that will end up on or in your body. It also offers a hypoallergenic option for the man or woman who enjoys indulging in luxurious scents but wants to do so in a clean way.

Being founded by an African-Canadian woman, showcasing the beauty of Africa through scent is a core element of the brand's identity. In an industry worth billions of dollars, only a small percentage are fragrance houses owned by Black/African perfumers. It is an industry that lacks diversity where a large percentage of its consumers, being Black/African, are greatly underrepresented by its creators. So at Dakaari Fragrance House we are committed to breaking down the barriers to allow for more diversity in the fragrance industry.
